Eric Chow, PhD is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics and Director of the Center for Advanced Technology (CAT) at UCSF. The CAT evaluates and brings new technologies to campus that are available to all UCSF labs and provides guidance for projects. Over the past decade, the CAT has been a hub for new NGS methods, with a focus on single cell sequencing, spatial genomics, and infectious disease detection and diagnostics. He received his BA in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and his PhD in Biochemistry studying Mycobacterium tuberculosis with genomic and lipidomic tools at UCSF.
