Core Facility > Scheduling Equipment

How it works

The Core Facility is a collection of equipment dedicated to serving the genomics and proteomics needs of the UCSF research community. If you wish to use the equipment, you will use the on-line calendaring system.

For the majority of these instruments, you must be trained in its use prior to scheduling a time.

You log in using the user name designated for your lab or group. Send an email to the core to get a login and password <here>.

Once you are logged in, you may schedule time on any instrument you are trained to use. You can select single or multiple instruments using the instrument picker on the right side of the window.

You can use the calendar on the right to go directly to the day you wish to schedule. Once you have the right day, you can view the schedules for the instruments by using the single or multiple overview buttons found on the left side.

When you have a time that is available, you click the "add appointment" button, complete the forms, and click "check appointment."

Double check to ensure that the appointment you are scheduling is correct and contains the information below before you hit "book appointment." Also, include your name and telephone extension in the text of your appointment.

You cannot delete appointments. If you make a mistake and wish to remove or alter an appointment, send email <here>.

Please remember to log out when you are finished.
