BioForce Nanosciences chose UCSF as a beta test site for their Nano eNabler. The Nano eNabler is an AFM printing device capable of putting molecules at defined locations on a surface. It is capable of printing 1-20 micron spots of proteins, other biological solutions, and non-biological solutions on surfaces. It is the ideal instrument to use when you want to print the same reagent many times, in a defined pattern, on an uneven surface, and/or with a very small spot size.
You must be <trained> by a member of the staff of the Center for Advanced Technology before you schedule or begin using the Nano eNabler.
You will need to provide your own surface for printing. Currently, AFM spotting tips are being provided in the facility.
