Information

The facility has 2 linear servo motor-powered microarrayers, constructed according to the M-Guide. They will accommodate 261 1 in. x 3 in. glass slides and can be used with up to 48 printing tips.

You must be <trained> by a member of the Core Facility before you schedule or begin a print run.

Printing tips are provided in the facility, but users are responsible for replacing any tips that are broken during their work. In addition, users are responsible for providing their own slides, plate seals, and label maker tape. Ordering information is shown below.

If poly-l-lysine glass will be bought, please order ahead of time. Although the glass does not "expire," the quality does degrade over time. Check the lot number, which is the manufactured-on-date, and return the glass if it is over 6-7 months old.

The CAT does not guarantee the quality of the arrays produced using the microarrayer. Please read the new print manual, available here, for updates to array printing. If you have any questions about printing, please contact <Katie>.
